It's happening! This much anticipated event is back* on the Les Dames program calendar! Discover the magic of pairing wines and food with five selected wines matched with small plates, each created exclusively for its partner wine especially for this LDES event, will be prepared by Chef Nicholas Ames of the Brian Carter Tasting Room. The featured wines will be handcrafted, European-style blends from award-winning winemaker Brian Carter, each celebrating Washington State's distinctive terroir.
Add learning about trends and challenges for the Pacific Northwest wine industry from winemaker Brian Carter to this evening's experience. From launching Brian Carter Cellars in 1980 when there were only 16 wineries in Washington, to today, with more than 1,100 wineries in our state, he has perspectives to share. His winery and its wines continue to stand out. This year, Brian Carter Cellars was honored as the 2023 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year in competition with 2,400 wineries in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia.
You'll also have an opportunity to meet and talk with Seattle Chapter Dames in the wine business.
For this special gathering, we can thank Dame Karen Binder, both for her connections and unabashed enthusiasm for Brian Carter wines.
NOTES: This is an OPEN MEETING with seating limited to 36 persons, which means we are requesting each Dame bring no more than two guests. which means you are welcome to bring a friend with interests in Seattle's food world and/or a prospective LDES member.
