Our 2011 Seattle Wine Technology Northwest Wine Academy Endowment recipient. Winter 2012 begins her fourth consecutive quarter in the program.
Rachael Hanks
Rachael
Hanks is the recipient of the 2011 South Seattle Community College
Culinary Arts scholarship in honor of Seattle Dame Kathleen Stang,
one of our Chapter's three founders.
Jowanna
Pritchett is one of our 2011 Seattle Central Community College
scholarship recipients, a mother of four in her third quarter
studying baking and pastry arts. She would like to get a job at a
small bakery after graduating, and likes to bake pastries and bread,
but predicts that cakes will overtake those interests as she learns
more.
Kristen
Ziegler is our 2011 Washington State University Enology Scholarship
winner, studying at the Tri-Cities campus. She will graduate in the
spring of 2013, and is concentrating on the winemaking side of the
program. After she finishes school, Kristen would like to work under
a Northwest winemaker as an enologist or assistant winemaker to get
more work experience and learn different wine styles.
